Know where your AI agents really stand.
Your board will ask how your agent program compares. The Agent Maturity Index answers on evidence, against a cohort of 30 peer enterprises.
Free. One 45-minute interview. Scored on evidence, not roadmaps.

Maturity models exist. Peer benchmarks don’t.
Most AI maturity models describe stages you rate yourself against. The Index scores what runs in production, from a structured interview, and shows where you sit against peer enterprises.
That is an answer you can take to your board, and a baseline to measure progress against.
Five levels of AI agent maturity.
We score what runs today, not what is on the roadmap. Between two levels, the lower one counts.
- Level 1
Experimenting
Teams try agents. Nothing runs in production.
- Level 2
Piloting
A few agents serve real users, in limited scope.
- Level 3
Operationalizing
Agents run in production on shared tooling, with clear owners.
- Level 4
Scaling
A platform lets many teams ship agents safely.
- Level 5
Agent-Native
Agents are core to how the business runs and improves.

Questions
What is the Agent Maturity Index?
The Agent Maturity Index is an AI agent maturity model and peer benchmark. It scores how an enterprise builds, governs and scales AI agents from level 1 (Experimenting) to level 5 (Agent-Native) on seven dimensions: knowledge and context, quality and evaluation, governance and control, continuous improvement, sovereignty and residency, value and portfolio, and people and operating model.
How is it different from other AI maturity models?
Most AI maturity models describe stages that you rate yourself against. The Agent Maturity Index scores what runs in production, from a structured 45-minute interview, and shows where you sit against a cohort of peer enterprises. It also treats sovereignty and data residency as a dimension of its own.
Who should join the Founding Cohort?
The person accountable for AI across a large enterprise: a Chief AI Officer, Head of AI or equivalent. The cohort is limited to 30 enterprises. It is not for vendors, consultants or investors. Anyone can join the waitlist for the public report.
What does it cost, and how long does it take?
It is free. Founding Cohort members give one 45-minute interview in November or December 2026. In return they get a private benchmark and the report before it is published.
How is maturity scored?
On evidence, not plans. Each dimension is scored on what runs in production today, all seven dimensions carry equal weight, and when an answer falls between two levels the lower one counts. Your Agent Maturity Score is the average of your levels across all seven dimensions, from 1.0 to 5.0.
What is the team alignment score?
When three or more people from the same business score it, the team alignment score shows how much they agree. It runs from 0 to 100: 100 means everyone gave every dimension the same level, and lower scores mean the leadership team sees the agent program differently. Invite colleagues after you get your own score.
When will the report be published?
The State of Enterprise Agent Adoption report is planned for the first quarter of 2027. It uses aggregate cohort data only, so no participant can be identified. Join the waitlist and we will email it to you on the day it is published.
Who runs the Agent Maturity Index?
SynOS, a company that helps enterprises build their own domain AI models on their own infrastructure. Because SynOS has a commercial interest, interviews are run by the SynOS core team, not sales staff. There are no demos or presentations, and participants are never contacted about SynOS products unless they ask.
